Lead Front Desk Manager for a luxury hotel in Toronto, responsible for leading and assisting with daily shift requirements, ensuring guest satisfaction, and achieving operating budget.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, or related field
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major, no work experience required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support front desk team, lead by example, and advocate for sound financial decision making
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Monitor and support progress toward guest services and front desk goals
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, handle guest problems and complaints, and interact with guests to obtain feedback
  • Manage projects and policies, implement customer recognition/service program, and assist in review of comment cards and guest satisfaction results
  • Support handling of human resource activities, including coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback to subordinates

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, or in person
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Inform and/or update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner

Salary Range: $60,000 to $78,000 annually
