Job Description

The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM), for Western Canada, reports to the Director of Field Marketing and leads the implementation of marketing programs at multiple accounts within a defined region. The RMM is responsible for supporting critical business initiatives, including the activation of corporate marketing and consumer insights programs, creation and activation of account marketing / growth plans, growing base business, new sales and retention, client value creation, and enhancing Aramark's brand health.

As a people leader, the RMM will be responsible for leading a team of District Marketing Managers - and will be directly responsible for building marketing acumen and capability at all levels with their assigned region.

Travel is required 60-80% of the time between accounts within defined district.

Driver's license and vehicle required.

Consideration will be given to candidates from Calgary or Edmonton

Job Responsibilities
  • Visits regional accounts regularly and priority accounts at least bi-monthly / monthly to identify opportunities to drive business improvements that result in measurable profitable growth - including providing recommendations around product, price, merchandising, and promotions.
  • Drives execution of all Aramark primary insights programs (ie. Voice of the Consumer (VOC), Resident or Patient Connect, DiningStyles, Napkin Talk, etc.), interprets and shares results with each account, with corresponding District Managers, and with the Director of Field Marketing. Collaboratively develops action plans to improve regional consumer satisfaction results.
  • Maintain oversight to district marketing efforts through routine status meetings, reviewing/approving major initiatives along with the Director of Field Marketing, and training on new programs while ensuring DMMs are proactively engaged with district operations (District Manager and Front Line Managers) as the marketing expert
  • Supports the development of district and/or regional newsletters.
  • Supports and attends priority Client Business Reviews (CBRs).
  • Assists in implementation of strategic plans for account retention.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years experience in marketing – hospitality/foodservice experience preferred
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Influencing without formal authority – able to create an informal network to support program pilots, implementation and collection of best practices and measurement
  • People Management - able to inspire and empower others on your team, to align with strategy and create tactical elements to ensure marketing objectives are met
  • Strategic agility – the ability to be a national and regional marketing strategist and advisor to RVPs
  • Business analysis – ability to track, analyze, and present results from marketing program implementation
  • Project management – Multiple tasks will be managed at one time resulting in a need for strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Organizational savvy – Ability to speak to multiple levels within the region, representing a 'big-picture', business-oriented view of development
  • Dealing with ambiguity – able to get in, assess the situation, identify key players, set action plan, and deliver
  • Results oriented – analytical skills and ability to think strategically about the business are essential
  • A diploma, degree or equivalent in marketing (ie. B.A., B.Comm, etc.) is preferred.
