**Regional Sales Lead, Central Canada**

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional with a mining and heavy industrial background to lead our sales efforts in Central Canada.

**Job Description**

Giffen Consulting Ltd. is a Canadian-based company providing fit-for-purpose design and engineering services to the mining, utility, and heavy industrial sectors. We are looking for an individual with a strong track record in sales and business development to join our team as a Regional Sales Lead, Central Canada.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Develop strategies for profitable penetration into the central Canada markets (SK, MB, ON, QC)
• Establish and maintain working relationships with customers and clients
• Assume lead role in business generation and deal execution
• Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings to develop marketing strategies and strategic capture plans
• Responsible for the implementation of the corporate growth plan
• Monitor impact of marketing and sales activities
• Support all aspects relating to proposal and presentation development and client deliverables
• Work closely with corporate directors to compile, develop, assess, and maintain appropriate proposal exhibits, appendices, project profiles, and illustrative documents
• Maintain a register of key business opportunities and engage in regular follow up with key client contacts
• Work with corporate directors to confirm staffing levels to ensure that projected backlog can be adequately staffed with appropriately senior personnel
• Nurture broad relationships across the mining sector with various current and prospective clients
• Assist with other communications projects and objectives as required
• Represent Giffen Consulting at key conferences and trade shows
• Regular site visits to active and prospective clients' mines sites as part of the tendering process, or as part of post-award relationship management

**Qualifications & Experience**

• 10+ years experience in the mining and metals industry
• 10+ years in sales selling a solution / in a service industry
• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related discipline
• Proven working experience in a business development, sales executive, or other relevant role
• Experience in customer support is an asset
• Advanced in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, and other graphics applications
• Willing and able to travel for business development activities
• Ability to build personal rapports
• Experience in Project Management would be an asset
