About the Role

Giffen Consulting Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Lead to join our accomplished leadership team in Toronto, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive profitable growth in the central Canada markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate the central Canada markets.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and clients, and work with stakeholders to determine solutions requirements.
  • Assume a lead role in business generation and deal execution.
  • Conduct market research studies and analyze findings to develop marketing strategies and capture plans.
  • Implement the corporate growth plan and monitor the impact of marketing and sales activities.
  • Support proposal and presentation development, and client deliverables throughout the client lifecycle.
  • Work closely with corporate directors to compile and maintain proposal exhibits, project profiles, and illustrative documents.
  • Maintain a register of key business opportunities and engage in regular follow-up with key client contacts.
  • Collaborate with corporate directors to confirm staffing levels to ensure adequate resources for projected backlog.
  • Nurture relationships across the mining sector with current and prospective clients.
  • Support communications projects and objectives as required.
  • Represent Giffen Consulting at key conferences and trade shows.
  • Perform regular site visits to active and prospective clients' mines sites.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in the mining and metals industry.
  • 10+ years of sales experience in a solution-based or service industry.
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a relevant role.
  • Experience in customer support is an asset.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel for business development activities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
