We are now looking for a Business Development Representative who will help us expand business in growing markets, communicate the advantages of our clients' products and services and contribute to the growth of the customer base.

The Business Development Representative will:

  • Engage with provided leads and cold markets to identify potential customers, assess their needs, and qualify them for the sales process
  • Initiate contact and develop relationships with key decision-makers
  • Follow up with prospects to nurture relationships, move them through the sales funnel, and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Use a consultative face-to-face approach to understand the prospect's product/service needs and goals
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, lead generation results, and pipeline status
  • Stay updated on industry trends, company products, and competitors, and share knowledge and best practices with the team to improve overall performance

We are seeking individuals who have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, or customer service roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively
  • Proficiency in customer service software and tools
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday with optional Saturday
  • Ability to commute to our Ottawa office daily
