Our growing team is looking for a Senior Business Analyst – AI & Telematics

As an AI Engineering Business Analyst, you'll play a lead role in various initiatives to lead the team, represent AI in various forums and coordinate with other stakeholders, define requirements while building and keeping a full view of project/feature delivery.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with Data Scientists to understand, define and document functional and nonfunctional requirements for AI Engineering.
  • Lead / participate in solution workshops to specify IT solutions, after consulting with all stakeholders.
  • Provide vision, leadership and guidance to various stakeholders.
  • Work closely with architects to come up with the right solution.
  • Analyze, profile data.
  • Work closely with Product Owner and Scrum Master to prioritize, write user stories, groom product and sprint back log with the team.
  • Support the development of solutions and the perform analysis.
  • Participate in test activities with DS, other IT teams and testers to make sure solution are built with good quality.
  • Conduct impact assessments and effort estimates for approving and documenting the IT solution using effective methods and interacting with both business users and the IT project teams.
  • Provide statuses to management.
  • Ensure proactive and effective communication at all levels.
  • Anticipate problems and sensible situations, propose solutions, and participate in the resolution.
  • Write use cases, business rules, etc.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum development.
  • Knowledge of development methodologies (Agile, BI, SDLC, SCRUM, Kanban).
  • Knowledge of writing technical user stories, understanding business priorities and sizing of user stories.
  • Expertise in data behaviour analysis and profiling.
  • Experience and knowledge of databases querying.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts.
  • Experience and application knowledge in the insurance field.
  • Very good communication skills, spoken and written, with AI Management as well as with our business, IT and DS partners and our management team.
  • Mastery of Jira and Confluence.
  • Exposure to MongoDB (An asset).
  • Understanding of Cloud technologies: AWS, Snowflake, DataBricks (An asset).
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) (An asset).
  • Bilingualism (French / English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
