INTRODUCTION:

The Manager, Employee & Development Initiatives is responsible for employee program implementations and their ongoing management for Scotia Global Asset Management in partnership with applicable Human Resources business units. This role works closely with Human Resources to support the end-to-end management and delivery of employee programs and initiatives, including the Scotia GAM employee onboarding program.

In this role, you will engage with employees, leaders, and key stakeholders to provide ongoing support, consistency, and a positive experience. There will also be a focus on reporting and analytics to support overall program & leadership reporting needs.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Acts in a project manager capacity to lead the implementation and maintenance of complex employee programs, provides input on learning program design, communications and evaluation plan
  • Aligns with the Senior Manager, HRBP and the Global Learning and Development COE for the ongoing delivery and maintenance of Scotia Global Asset Management employee development programs
  • Responsible for the delivery of a SGAM onboarding program, including the build and implementation of a new online platform for employees
  • Designs and leads an action-oriented employee onboarding committee, focused on enhancing the onboarding experience across SGAM
  • Collaborates with Communications team in developing and managing learning program communications
  • Develops metrics in conjunction with the Senior Manager HRBP, and Global Learning COE to assess the effectiveness and sustainability of learning programs, ensuring alignment with the Bank's strategy, overall business needs and requirements.
  • Maintains ongoing relationships with Business HR, COEs, or other groups to understand learning requirements and needs; proposes solutions to improve/enhance learning programs based on provided insights and analysis
  • Champions and supports the promotion of available learning to employees and provides necessary information about learning events
  • Supports the design, preparation and delivery of educational aids and materials
  • Coordinates in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Assesses instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
  • Gathers feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
  • Analyzes leading trends and best practices on learning program management to identify improvement/enhancement opportunities
  • Ensures data integrity and quality through in-depth analysis; reporting intake and project statistics to senior management
  • Supports other SGAM employee/business initiatives and reporting as required
  • Assist with the preparation of executive reporting including but not limited to Board packages and Business Highlights
  • Assist with management of Scotia GAM business initiatives action item log
  • Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

  • Post-secondary Degree in Human Resources or Business or related field
  • Previous experience in executing learning solutions
  • Strong understanding of Global Learning programs, policies, processes, and operations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast paced environment
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
