Key Responsibilities:

As an Employee Relations Manager, you will play a vital role in the success of the Employee Relations (ER) and Labour Relations (LR) strategies. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading investigations and resolutions of medium to high-risk ER/LR cases in alignment with designated business lines and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Fostering a customer-centric culture to enhance client relationships and leverage the Bank's broader systems and knowledge.
  • Providing expert guidance and coaching on employment-related matters to employees, People Managers, and HR Business Partners, ensuring consistency with established regulations and policies.
  • Conducting thorough investigations into serious misconduct allegations, collaborating with the Employment Law Group and Corporate Security as necessary.
  • Facilitating employee interviews and engaging in constructive dialogue to assess situations, while preparing comprehensive investigative reports for Senior Leadership.
  • Partnering with HR Business Partners to strategically plan and execute initiatives that impact a significant employee population, while identifying trends and providing insights to enhance HR strategies.
  • Ensuring a seamless experience for employees and People Managers dealing with ER/LR issues, maintaining accurate case files to safeguard against potential litigation.
  • Understanding and integrating the Bank's risk appetite and culture into daily operations and decision-making processes.
  • Promoting a high-performance environment that attracts, retains, and develops talent while fostering an inclusive workplace.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Employee Relations or Human Resources.
  • Proficiency in French is essential.
  • CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment and labour laws applicable to various supported countries.
  • Ability to interpret collective agreements on an international scale.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and alternative dispute resolution capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.
