CT & Angio Interventional

Summary of Duties

  • To provide patient care within the scope of practice of your profession which Responsible for care of patients within the department. Collects records and verifies patient history and information. Obtains informed consent when required;
  • Perform a variety of examinations and diagnostic procedures using helical CT scanners in the CT/Angiography department in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards and departmental procedures;
  • Assists with a variety of angiographic & interventional procedures;
  • Manages images electronically;
  • Delivers quality patient care, including administration of contrast medium;
  • Maintains adequate records and documentation according to departmental policy and procedures;
  • Performs required care and maintenance of equipment as required;
  • Assists radiology residents and fellows within the CT/Angiography division as directed;
  • Collaborates and participates in Imaging research as directed.


Qualifications/Skills

  • MRT (R), CMRTO
  • RTR, CAMRT
  • Current BCLS
  • Sound knowledge in sectional anatomy
  • Recent related technologist experience required. Related technologist experience in a Hospital environment preferred
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and multi-tasking skills

Ultrasound

Summary of Duties

  • Perform ultrasound imaging procedures in Main SB/HC Department, Emergency Department and or in the OR as required, including evening, weekend and call shifts
  • Performs and troubleshoots required care and maintenance of ultrasound and medical imaging equipment as required to ensure they are performing in a effective and manner.
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obs/gyn, small parts, breast, MSK, neurodoppler, vascular, and u/s guided procedures including CEUS
  • Responsible for care of patients within the department. Collects records and verifies patient history and information. Obtains informed consent when required.
  • Prepare and Maintains adequate written and electronic reports to document all procedures and test results according to departmental policy and procedures
  • Collaborates and participate in teaching, research, educational, safety and quality improvement programs.


Qualifications/Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
  • ARDMS Registration Member of the CMRTO
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Minimum 3 years’ recent ultrasound technologist experience in a similar/related setting required
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts and on call rotation
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to organize and prioritize work.
  • Proven time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, and also at times independently.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

MRI

Summary of Duties

  • Responsible for care of patients within the department;
  • Collects records and verifies patient clinical history as well as MRI safety screening information;
  • Obtains informed consent when required;
  • Performs a variety of MRI examinations (Clinical and Research) in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards, and departmental procedures;
  • Co-ordinates daily work schedule, prioritizes and arranges emergency/add on cases as required;
  • Delivers quality patient care, including as required IV insertion with administration of contrast medium;
  • Participates in the orientation of new staff and students as required
  • Maintains adequate records and documentation according to departmental policy and procedures;
  • Performs required care and maintenance of equipment as required


Qualifications/Skills

  • CMRTO Registration - MRI
  • CAMRT Registration
  • Recent related Technologist experience in a hospital environment
  • Recent related clinical MRI experience
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication (verbal/written), and multi-tasking skills

Ultrasound Breast Imaging

Summary of Duties

  • Provides safe and quality care to patients within the department. Collects records and verifies patient history and information. Obtains informed consent when required.
  • Performs a variety of diagnostic procedures in the Breast Imaging department in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards and departmental procedures.
  • Perform Radiologist supervised breast ultrasound
  • Assists radiologists in image guided procedures
  • Maintains adequate records and documentation according to departmental policy and procedures
  • Performs required care and maintenance of equipment as required.
  • Assists radiology residents and fellows within the Breast Imaging division
  • Collaborates and participates in Imaging research as directed


Qualifications/Skills

  • CMRITO Registration in the specialty of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Prior breast ultrasound experience required
  • Mammography experience would be an asset; and is not mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, and also at times independently if and where applicable
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in adhering to imaging protocols and any medical directives
  • Commitment to continue education
  • Commitment to demonstrate understanding of multi-modality approach in breast imaging


Nuclear Medicine

Summary of Duties

  • Responsible for care of patients within the department. Collects records and verifies patient history and information. Obtains informed consent when required
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures in the department, in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards and departmental procedures. Complies with safe radiation practices at all times. This includes PET/CT scans and ECG monitoring for Stress Testing.
  • Coordinate daily work schedule, prioritizes emergency/add-on cases as required
  • Maintains adequate records and documentation according to departmental policy and procedures
  • Performs required care and maintenance of equipment as required.
  • Assists radiology residents and fellows within the division as required
  • Participates in the orientation of new staff and students as directed
  • Performs Radiopharmacy and Quality Control Procedures in the department


Qualifications/Skills

  • CMRTO Registration required
  • CAMRT Registration preferred
  • Recent related technologist experience required
  • Related technologist experience in a Hospital environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player
  • Computer and keyboarding skills
