Customer Business Manager

What you will do
The Customer Business Manager (CBM) at Johnson Controls (JCI) plays a key role in leading the on-site Team to deliver Contract requirements and ensure Customer Satisfaction within budget targets. Responsibilities include managing team development, updating policies, influencing change, and ensuring contract governance.
How you will do it
Specific duties include:
- Understanding contract terms and Customer expectations
- Project Management for construction activities
- Establishing procedures to meet performance expectations
- Providing direction to maintenance management service contractor
- Managing day-to-day activities and staff
- Supervising and developing supervisors
- Working closely with the Customer to meet contract requirements
- Establishing performance metrics and taking corrective actions
- Selecting and training project employees
- Communicating effectively with all parties
- Serving as a role model and mentor
- Sharing process improvements with peers
What we look for
- Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in Facility Management with 10+ years in an Academic University environment
- Prefer BOMA and/or IFMA designation (RPA/CFM)
- Experience in strategic and operational planning
- Management of multi-disciplinary teams
- Lead Customer meetings
- Oversee performance reviews for team members and sub-contractors
- Manage Contract Compliance requirements
- Perform site 'evaluation inspections'
- Monitor Customer Satisfaction surveys
- Promote a culture of Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement
