Responsibilities
As a Payroll / HR Assistant, you will be involved in various functions and responsibilities such as:

- Greet and welcome the new employees and conducting new hire orientation and onboarding sessions, with safety tour of the plant
- Communicate job openings, set up interviews, Interview candidates and complete reference checks
- Complete new hire documents and filing
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions, Reception and other administrative tasks as needed
- Track employee attendance using electronic timesheet management system
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll using UKG payroll software
- Complete employee benefits - enrolling new members, termination of benefits, etc.
- Prepare reports, new hire and termination documents
- Assist with vacation schedules and documents
- Electronic and paper filing, update and maintain spreadsheets
- Flexibility for payroll processing during holidays, weekends as needed

Qualifications
The knowledge that is considered an asset for the Payroll / HR Assistant position is as follows:
- Previous experience in recruitment, payroll, and/or benefit administration an asset
- PCP certified or working towards designation preferred
- Excellent MS Office skills along with MS Teams
- Very organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible, and detail oriented
- Excellent data entry and experience with UKG is preferred
