About the Role:

Maple HR is partnering with a well-established organization in Guelph, Ontario, to find a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator. This part-time contract role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the organization’s employees while also managing essential HR-related tasks. The position offers flexible work hours, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable adapting to varying schedules. There is potential for this contract to lead to a permanent part-time or full-time position based on performance and organizational needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Manage bi-weekly payroll processing using ADP via TeamPay, ensuring all payroll transactions are completed accurately and on time.
  • HR Support: Assist with HR administration, including managing employee files, onboarding new staff, and processing changes for existing staff.
  • Reporting: Handle monthly and annual payroll reports, including WSIB payments, RRSP reports, T4 preparation, and year-end audit support.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll and HR regulations, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Communication: Liaise with the CEO, accounting team, and external auditors on payroll and HR matters.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address any payroll-related issues, ensuring smooth operations and employee satisfaction.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration and HR processes.
  • Proficiency in ADP (TeamPay) and other payroll software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Excel and other relevant software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Flexibility in work hours and the ability to manage varying schedules.
