The Vice President of the Project Management Office (PMO) will serve as a critical driver of organizational transformation by aligning project execution with the broader technology and business strategy. This role will provide strategic leadership in developing and evolving an innovative project management framework that optimizes resource allocation, accelerates digital initiatives, and enhances enterprise agility.

In partnership with senior leadership, the VP of PMO will design and implement enterprise-wide project governance and methodologies that aid in prioritizing the investments to make and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact initiatives. Leveraging advanced project management tools, data analytics, and automation technologies, the VP will enhance end-to-end project visibility, performance tracking, and risk management to support informed decision-making from Prioritization and Inception to Closure and Benefit Realization.

This leader will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and budget-conscious execution of projects, with a strong emphasis on maximizing the business value from investments and fostering cross-functional collaboration. By driving digital enablement, the VP of PMO will contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery practices, ensuring projects meet or exceed stakeholder expectations and deliver measurable ROI aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.

Lead and manage the PMO team to ensure successful and predictable delivery of projects across the enterprise.
Build, lead, and nurture a high-performing, cohesive team of project managers and BAs, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes partnership with stakeholders throughout all project phases, from initial conception and strategic planning to successful execution and continuous improvement for transformational, operational and growth projects.
Manage multiple priorities and setting clear expectations for PMO team
Partner closely with Business and IT executives to establish and evolve project intake and prioritization, execution methodology, best practices, processes, systems, and policies to ensure consistent execution and management of all projects while promoting a culture of continuous improvement across Enercare
Develop strong relationships with and influence business and technology leaders across the organization to adjust to and adopt enhanced processes, procedures, and roles related to project execution
Sponsor and lead the adoption of tools and technologies to streamline and automate activities related to Project Management, Resource Management, and other opportunities to drive efficient execution, management, and tracking.
Monitor PMO's day-to-day operations, progress, and performance, managing escalations and ensuring overall success across all predetermined success factors and in-line with IT/PMO KPIs.
Control, monitor and report on a consolidated set of projects, programs, and associated changes for delivery across the portfolio.
Monitoring and flagging emerging issues, and recommending necessary course correction measures to the Project Managers
Ensure timelines are adhered to for initiatives by keeping executives aware of any red flags concerning the timing or integration process.
Bring forward the key variables for consideration in the decision-making process to Executive Leadership; highlight key findings from cost benefit analysis and potential risk associated with each alternative.
Work with key business partners, and IT to build the project roadmap for Strategic and non-strategic projects, identifying major project milestones and deliverables.
Build strong relationships with the stakeholders to foster cooperation, collaboration, and communication across the organization, driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring projects meet business objectives.
Lead the prioritization of our PMO and strategic priorities by developing a framework and process to facilitate alignment and decision making across the organization.
Manage, coach, and mentor PMO team members at various levels, overseeing recruitment, selection, skills and competency assessment, performance management, certification, training, and career planning to build a best-in-class project management function.
Define the PMO's framework, standards, tools, methodologies, and playbooks for end-to-end project planning and management lifecycle, covering Scope, Schedule, Budget, Risks,
Resources, Stakeholders, Communication, Quality, Procurement, and Change.
Review and support creation of statements of work (SOWs), plan costs, budgets, and resources needed for projects, and continually reassess resource requirements to optimize efficiency and ensure timely project delivery.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
~10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
~ Experience leading and managing a team of project managers and/or business analysts.
~ Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques including hands on experience with Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile methodologies.
~ Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
~ Solid understanding of software development life cycle models
~ Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to the PMO team and to be able to evaluate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively.
~ Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
~ Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
