Operations Manager

Reporting to the Director of Operations of the Central Operations Support team the Operations Manager will provide centralized supportive leadership to several operating divisions of the ParaMed home health business. It works with other members of the leadership team to identify and exploit opportunities for operational efficiencies and quality improvement in our delivery of in-home services for seniors across the care spectrum.
This role is based at our Markham location/remotely. Travel is to be expected.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Support the leadership team to drive operational performance to achieve targets for profitability, productivity and efficiency.
- Analyze trends and recommend/implement actions to address operational metrics
- Work collaboratively with the Transformation, Learning & Development, People & Culture, and Information Technology teams to implement improvement projects such as standard operating procedures, data driven scheduling algorithms and other operational changes.
- Builds strong relationships with business partners in order to understand their unique context and perspective to ensure the effective delivery of quality change management initiatives.
- Act as an organizational champion to initiate and manage change.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement by contributing recommended ideas, best practices, lessons learned, etc.
**Working Conditions**
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Driving and physical demands associated with management positions (sitting, standing, stair climbing, and walking).
**Health & Safety**
- Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and ParaMed Occupational Health and Safety policies within all district offices.
**Qualifications**
- Post secondary education in healthcare, business or related field is preferred
- Track record of continued career progression. Minimum of two (2) years Supervisory experience accompanied by a minimum of three years of experience in an operations role. Experience in healthcare is ideal.
- Experience in the home healthcare sector is ideal
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and solve problems
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision-making skills; ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format;
- Ability to work independently and effectively lead a team;
- Strong analytical skills
- Project management experience considered an asset.
- Display a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel
- Able to provide a current, clear criminal background check with Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)
