About the opportunity:
Consumer Insights Associate will support the Consumer Insights Manager for Canada across the Canadian divisions: Yogurt (Astro, siggi’s, Olympic Organic, iOGO), Milk (Lactantia, Beatrice), and Cheese (Black Diamond, Cracker Barrel, Petit Quebec, Amooza, Balderson, Galbani, President), and dessert (Marie Moran).
The core responsibilities will consist of working with our agency partners to manage and execute basic and tactical research projects and supporting the senior manager on more strategic or complex projects.
The attributes we are looking for:
Executing Research
- Reviewing briefs received from marketing and providing feedback to ensure clarity before they are submitted to agencies for proposals
- Reviewing questionnaires from the agency
- Reviewing toplines and reports from agencies to validate findings and recommendations
Central Research Missions
- Understanding global research guidelines
- Application of global research guidelines locally
Internal relationship building
- Build strong relationships with marketing, R&D, and global counterparts (insights, brand, and category).
- Be a connection between the Global Insights team and the local marketing teams to ensure that the local teams understand global guidelines.
Vendor management
- Work with vendors to ensure timelines are maintained
- Build strong relationships with vendors
What you will bring:
- University degree (or equivalent level of work experience)
- At least 2 years in Consumer Insight roles in market research agencies or on client side operating in CPG
- Relationship building
- Dynamic and proactive to ensure that the projects are completed on time
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of panel and syndicated data a plus
- Ability to be part of a team, and to work in a multi-functional networking environment, open-minded, and able to adapt to foreign working cultures
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with different research methodologies is a plus (i.e. pack testing, brand health tracking, product testing, copy testing, focus groups, concept testing)
- Strong skills in Work, PPT, and Excel
- Must be fluent in English, French is a plus
