The Strathcona Hotel, located in the heart of Vibrant Victoria is looking to hire a reliable, responsible, and energetic individual to join our front desk team.
Our ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized and has a passion for creating pleasant and positive experiences with our guests, patrons, and suppliers.
Part time or Full time
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greeting Guests, and successfully completing the check in and checkout processes in a timely and pleasant manner.
- Creating and managing reservations for the hotel utilizing online sources, third party bookings, telephone inquiries, walk in guests, and internal bookings.
- Maximizing revenue by adhering to the policies and procedures of the Strathcona Hotel with regard to external/internal revenue sources such as hotel reservations, guest room upgrades, parking charges, gift card transactions/sales and special event ticket sales.
- Assisting Guests with information on local attractions, transportation, sightseeing tours, and informing them of Hotel amenities, venues, and/or events.
- Resolving Guest concerns to ensure they have the best experience possible.
- Answering the switchboard and dispatching calls to the appropriate departments, venues, and/or responding to guest and patron inquiries.
- Assisting the FOH with key sign in/out, cash reconciliations, and cash drops.
- Operating digital radios to communicate with various departments, and team members throughout the property.
