Job Title: Part-Time Hybrid Administrative Staff
Location: Virtual offices with potential for hybrid in-person work once or twice a week post-orientation, primarily 90% remote.
Industry: Family-operated food business selling products to retail stores.
Responsibilities:
- Manage invoicing and accounts receivable processes.
- Coordinate deliveries, liaising with carriers and customers.
- Handle order management and invoice creation.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Provide general administrative support as required.
Requirements:
- Administrative experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Understanding of invoicing processes and inventory management.
- Self-motivated with a positive demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Familiarity with email and EDI systems for order processing.
Expectations:
- Manage approximately a dozen invoices per week.
- Balancing workload between invoicing (50%) and administrative/logistics tasks (50%).
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving business needs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dedication to accuracy and attention to detail.
Other Details:
- Located in Markham, 90% remote, office attendance only if necessary.
- Job entails handling frozen/fruit products and data entry.
- Coordinator for carriers and EDI order placements.
- Family-oriented, traditional work environment.
- Flexible hours, 15-24 hours per week.
- Orders processed promptly upon receipt.
- Non-client facing, back-office role.
