What you’ll do:

This position supports the development and implementation of successful marketing campaigns to boost store sales and consumer awareness of the Co-op Value Proposition. This would include overseeing a variety of initiatives in the following areas: Scheduling: Hootsuite posts, in-store TV ads  Administrative duties including claims and invoices Assist in managing the community Donations and Sponsorships  Researching new ideas/products Drive campaigns through various communications systems and tools Attending and helping plan community events Organizing /ordering promotional material for locations Tracking /analytics - creating reports Other projects and assignments as required Keep up to date with best practices in writing for the web and social media Creative input to the marketing department This position requires frequent travel across our trading area to attend community events and support locations as required Carry out other related tasks as required

Who you are: 

We are looking for a positive, approachable, and motivated individual with a drive to learn. Post-secondary Education (diploma or degree) in Business with a preference in Marketing and demonstrated ability in a successful marketing role with 1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred. However, we welcome candidates with a combination of relevant experience and/or education. Candidates will demonstrate the following:

Understanding of our Values (Integrity, Community, Teamwork) Professional, people-first, Guest experience skills  Ability to manage personal workflow to meet deadlines Strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skills Quality communication skills Excellent people skills with our guests, team members and business partners An eye for detail and the ability to maintain a very high level of accuracy Commitment to ongoing development in this industry Valid driver’s license Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Social Media Platforms Proficient with Graphic Design software (Illustrator, Premiere, Photoshop) Self-motivated, confident, energetic and creative A clear, concise writing style Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Drone license considered an asset This role is mainly M – F, day shift, however; there may be the occasional opportunity for some evening or weekend work that is required.  Portfolio of previous work included with your application Willingness to participate in a Criminal Record Background Check

We welcome candidates with a combination of relevant experience and/or education. This position will require travel between locations in our trading area, and some travel outside our trading area for business needs as required.
