Position: Accounting Administrator (Full-time)
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Reports to: Accounting Supervisor

Position Summary
The Accounting Administrator is responsible for supporting the Finance Department of SPLC in all areas including general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

1. Accounting Processes accounts payable entries for non-account transactions on timely basis Maintains and assists accounts payable modules in accounting database Processes invoices/credits and payments within department guideline Resolve Purchasing and Vendor inquires as required 2. Cash Management: Collects client payments as required, ensures the security of payment Process weekly/monthly cheque run & validate the accuracy Maintains donation database and issues tax receipts Education : Completion of Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business, Finance or Accounting Experience & Skills : Two to three years full cycle of accounting experience or similar role Good understanding of accounting principles and guidelines Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel Experience using accounting systems such as ACCPAC, Great Plains, or QuickBooks software Ability to work independently on tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment Ability to occasionally work additional hours when required; to meet strict deadlines Other: Vulnerable Sector screening required Proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Exemption Certificate required
