Responsibilities:
• Sourcing and procuring capital equipment, supplies, and services for assigned areas.
• Investigating and implementing opportunities to reduce costs via innovative and alternative purchasing arrangements.
• Preparing, managing, and analyzing bid documents and submissions for new or non-standard items.
• Reviewing, revising, and processing purchase requisitions issued by users within the organization.
• Monitoring and expediting Purchase Orders as required.
• Consulting and recommending solutions for vendor performance issues.
• Developing short and long term processes for the efficient functioning of the Purchasing System.
• Preparing, managing, and analyzing Purchasing Reports such as Bid Documents, Bid Summary, Cost Savings, Award Report, Contracts etc.
• Communicating with vendors regarding final pricing, terms and conditions, delivery requirements, etc.
• Performing related duties such as providing back up to the Purchasing Clerk by completing purchase change orders, new vendor request, investigating invoice/payment status etc.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Experience with ERP Solutions
• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC)
• Ability to work with IBM AS/400
• Experience with 'About Time' software
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Budget Processes
• Experience with Buying Processes
• Familiarity with Ellucian Banner software
