Bilingual Medical Claims Administrator – 100% Remote

This is the job for you We are currently looking for (2) Bilingual Medical Claims Administrators for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

What is in it for you:

• Hourly salary of $22 to $24, based on experience.
• 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
• Full-time: 37.50 hours per week.
• Remote position: Schedule from 8 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct calculation analysis.
• Process benefit payments.
• Make necessary adjustments to benefits.
• Approve disability benefits and initial payments.
• Approve Long Term Disability claims.
• Perform financial duties such as stopping payments, voiding transactions, refunding deposits, processing garnishments, handling TD1 forms, and calculating employment income offsets regularly.
• Engage in phone communication (40%), distinct from a call center environment.
• Mainly focus on claims adjustment and monitoring plan members.
• Complete other related tasks as assigned.

What you will need to succeed:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
• Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) – required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and/or insurance terminology – an asset.
• Knowledge of Group Benefits.
• Knowledge of Military Terminology.
• Experience in accounting, finance, payroll, bookkeeping, benefit payments, or related administrative and clerical duties – an asset.
• Proficiency in Office 365 (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for numbers, invoices, and billing.
• Strong customer service experience in a demanding environment – an asset.
• Knowledge or experience in insurance claims.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a high level of mathematical aptitude.
• Analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience working in a doctor's office.
• Handling medical invoices.
• Experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of disability benefits.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a close team environment.
• Experience with benefits administration – preferred.
