POSITION TYPE TERM (March 31, 2026), FULL-TIME

Under the direction of the Senior Director Strategy and Impact, and with the guidance of and in consultation and collaboration with the Manager, Person Centred Supports, the Person Centred Supports Coordinator will work collaboratively, to implement EHW’s Strategic Plan, the Reaching Home: Community Plan and related strategies and plans to prevent and end homelessness in Winnipeg. The Person Centred Supports Coordinator supports the Manager, Person Centred Supports with development and delivery of plans, strategies, and activities that respond to the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness by co-creating stronger pathways to a range of permanent housing options and culturally proficient, trauma-informed person-centred systems of care. The Person Centred Supports Coordinator will support the coordination and outreach activities in the community and will play an integral part in the Extreme Weather and Emergency Response program along with the Kíkinanaw Óma (Unsheltered Strategy).

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the revision and research of the current Kíkinanaw Óma strategy Compile and analyze data from surveys, interviews and sharing circles Facilitate and participate on internal and external committee meetings Engage with community partners and outreach teams Support organizations with extreme weather and emergency response related issues Assist managers with supporting local agencies and government when building closures occur to ensure a coordinated response Complete Extreme Weather Program claims and provide support to agencies Monitor Extreme Weather alerts Create reports, terms of reference, briefs etc. Conduct research, create a consultation plan and terms of reference for a Lived/Living Experience council Assist with the planning, promotion and implementation of events such as Gizhe Waa Ti-Sii Win Service Delivery Expo Provide updates to the Manager, Person Centred Supports on community issues, concerns, and opportunities Other duties as assigned

You are passionate about ending homelessness and have an in-depth understanding of homelessness and housing, as well as the needs of particularly vulnerable and over-represented populations and the issues affecting many homeless and low-income people. You also possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and related experience:

University Degree or diploma, preferably in the social sciences, human ecology, urban planning or related disciplines with coursework or independent study in statistics, program planning and evaluation, and/or research methods Minimum 1 year of related experience in program management Experience working in the non-profit sector and with Indigenous organizations Experience engaging, and communicating with multiple sectors, including hosting and facilitation of small and large group discussions Knowledge of community issues related to homelessness and knowledge of colonization and the historical factors that continue to impact Indigenous people regarding homelessness, poverty, etc. Ability to work in a Windows environment including intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office program (Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint) Broad understanding of traditional and alternative engagement methods Knowledge/training in the Collective Impact approach will be considered an asset Ability to compile, organize and disseminate statistical and other data Strong administrative, editing and research skills A valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
