Conditions of Employment:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be fluently bilingual in English and in French
- Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 driver's licence, have access to a vehicle, and be able to work in different centres across the province, as required.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Post-secondary education in management, administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may also be considered.
- Experience coordinating the operations of an organization committed to the philosophy of team service delivery
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships, and interact with others with tact
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent written communication skills in French
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- Excellent verbal communication skills in French, including demonstrated presentation skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English, including demonstrated presentation skills
- Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
- Ability to define, analyse and resolve problems effectively, including assessing systems and procedures to formulate recommendations in a clear and concise manner
- General knowledge of the operations of federal, provincial, and municipal governments
- Working knowledge of The Francophone Community Enhancement and Support Act, the French Language Services Policy and Active Offer concept
Desired:
- Financial management and budgeting experience
- Supervisory experience, including performance management, recruitment, coaching, and mentoring.
**Duties**:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Francophone Affairs Secretariat, the Manager ensures the overall direction and development of the Bilingual Service Centres. The position coordinates the operation of five centres, identifies problems, works with a team toward finding solutions, makes recommendations concerning major changes and assists in their implementation. The position oversees all Francophone Affairs Secretariat staff in the centres, managing the financial aspects of their operations and coordinating their daily activities.
