SALES MANAGER
Job Overview:
Develop business through direct sales solicitation for corporate accounts and business transient clients.
Job Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited to:
Client Base Development:
Establish a client base of individuals, organizations, associations, social, and/or corporate businesses through direct outside and inside selling. Actively prospect and qualify new business to secure bookings and ensure room night sales and revenue goals are met or exceeded.Negotiation and Contract Management:
Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rentals, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Accurately produce and/or review all sales contracts, rate agreements, and banquet/catering event orders.Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Work closely with other hotel departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients. Disseminate sales-related information to other departments as appropriate.Client Engagement and Events:
Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients. Entertain clients per established company and hotel policies and guidelines. Conduct tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertain qualified potential clients per company and property policies and procedures.Forecasting and Reporting:
Accurately forecast all bookings and cancellations.Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to produce group and/or convention business.Representation and Outreach:
Attend and represent the hotel at trade shows and conventions. Participate in sales trips to key feeder markets.JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of two years of experience in sales or marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience. A related degree is desirable. Previous experience in hotel sales is advantageous.
• Fluency in English is essential, while proficiency in other languages is desirable.
• A valid driver's license and access to personal transportation may be necessary.
