Are you ready to be an essential part of our client's IT team's daily operations? We are looking for a Desktop Support professional for a 6-month initial contract with opportunity for extension. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functionality of laptops and computer equipment. In this role, you'll follow established processes to image and configure laptops, handle equipment logistics, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide valuable support to our users. Responsibilities
• Follow pre-defined processes to image and configure laptops, including installing software.
• Pack and ship computer equipment to users, including arranging the courier.
• Receive computer equipment returned to the office, including arranging the courier.
• Prepare laptops and related hardware for liquidation/disposal.
• Provide general troubleshooting of technical issues.
• Update service tickets in a timely and detailed manner.
• Communicate progress and escalate for assistance.
• Work with others, both internally and externally, to complete requests and issues in a productive and courteous manner.
• Protect client data and privacy.
• Performs other duties as assigned, i.e. Incident resolution, office moves, etc.

Qualifications
• Proficiency in imaging and configuring laptops, installing software, and troubleshooting technical issues, with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Ability to manage equipment logistics, including packing and shipping computer equipment to users and handling equipment returns, while ensuring timely courier arrangements.
• Experience in updating service tickets in a detailed and timely manner, along with the ability to communicate progress and escalate issues for assistance when needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams, providing courteous and productive assistance.
• Awareness and commitment to protecting client data and privacy, with a strong sense of responsibility for maintaining confidentiality and security.
