Payroll Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team at Lovely Pao Manufacturing Corp. as a key member of our finance department.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Statement Preparation: Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance and pension plans.
- Financial Data Management: Store, update, and retrieve financial data, maintaining confidentiality and security.
- Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, including maintaining filing systems, data entry, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Reporting and Reconciliation: Prepare and balance period-end reports, reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements, and prepare monthly statements.
- Benefits Administration: Complete and submit documentation for the administration of benefits, such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance.
- Employee Communication: Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans, ensuring clear understanding and compliance.
- Statistics and Reporting: Compile statistics and reports, providing valuable insights for management.
- Payroll Maintenance: Maintain payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Attendance and Leave Management: Maintain records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using manual or computerized systems.
- Statement Preparation: Prepare T4 statements and other statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Criminal Record Check: Must undergo a criminal record check.
- Personal Suitability: Must possess accurate, flexible, organized, and reliable qualities.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 hours per week.
