DarkNX delivers high-performance, secure, and compliant data center solutions engineered for AI, cloud, and enterprise workloads. We are currently in development of +5GW of data centre design and build and are looking to focus on scaling the commercial side of our business.
Role Summary
The Business Development Manager drives revenue growth by developing and executing client acquisition strategies across enterprise, cloud, and AI infrastructure markets. This role requires both strategic sales leadership and direct engagement with procurement-level decision-makers. The successful candidate will establish new customer pipelines, manage sales cycles, and build long-term partnerships aligned with DarkNX's expansion strategy, which will be explained during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the data center, AI infrastructure, and enterprise technology sectors.
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with clients, partners, and vendors.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new service offerings, including colocation, HPC, and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Work closely with the Investment Relations Manager and Partnership team
- Lead proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal structuring.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to align client requirements with infrastructure capabilities.
- Represent DarkNX at industry events, conferences, and partner engagements.
- Track and report sales performance, pipeline development, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
- 3+ years within the software, cloud, or data center industry (preferred).
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, colocation, or cloud ecosystem.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct independent market analysis and strategic account planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Must be able to operate in a hybrid environment based in Toronto, ON.
Compensation Structure
- Base Salary:
$80,000 CAD annually - Commission:
Uncapped, tied to revenue and margin performance - Performance Bonus:
Annual, based on growth KPIs and strategic objectives - Equity Potential:
Eligible based on tenure and performance contribution
