Position summary
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Customer Business Development Manager to lead MHP's commercial efforts in the Canadian market. This role is responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, driving sales growth through innovative solutions, and expanding our presence in the food sector. The ideal candidate will be both a strategist and a hands-on executor, with a passion for customer success and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans tailored to the Canadian market.
- Build and strengthen long-term partnerships with key customers based on their business needs and growth objectives.
- Lead Customer Business Development (CBD) projects with top clients, aligning on KPIs and mutual value creation.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Promote MHP's pre-cooked product portfolio through customized, value-added proposals.
- Conduct regular field visits to gain market insights, uncover customer pain points, and foster deeper engagement.
- Present product solutions and supply terms, offering expert guidance and tailored recommendations.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and agreement finalization.
- Maintain up-to-date records and manage accounts using SAP CRM, ensuring visibility and efficiency.
- Analyze sales data, monitor performance, and provide reports and insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with logistics, production, and marketing teams to ensure seamless customer experience and product delivery.
- Stay ahead of market trends, anticipate demand, and support planning to ensure product availability and optimal inventory levels.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and act as a trusted advisor to help partners grow their business with MHP products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA is an advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or key account management in the food industry.
- Proven success in developing and managing large customer relationships, ideally in B2B food sales.
- Deep knowledge of the Canadian food market and distribution networks.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in CRM tools (preferably SAP) and data analysis.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Fluent in English and Ukrainian.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and market development.
