Scope of Position:
Multimatic Mechanisms Group is looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator (6-month contract) to support our purchasing team with a variety of tasks including data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of purchasing reports and KPI tracking.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to support monthly cost saving tracking and purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to evaluate supplier performance and supplier strategy adjustments or updates regularly.
- Participate in supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
- Learn and assist with streamlining various purchasing processes and procedures.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or an automotive related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with a strong focus on attention to detail.
- Proven ability to organize information/data in a manner that can be easily communicated and understood.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Achieved or working toward certification in procurement (e.g. CPP, CPSM) is an asset.
