Join Our Mission: Intake Coordinator at 8 Pillars Recovery Foundation

8 Pillars Recovery Foundation is a supportive sober living program dedicated to helping individuals rebuild their lives and establish long-term sobriety and independence. Due to our recent expansion, we are seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Intake Coordinator to be the welcoming first point of contact for prospective residents.

Key Responsibilities

Initial Contact & Assessment: Serve as the primary point of contact for all admission inquiries (phone, email, and referrals). Conduct respectful and thorough pre-screening interviews to assess applicant eligibility, clinical appropriateness, and commitment to the 8 Pillars program structure.

Application Management: Guide applicants and referral sources through the entire admissions process, including collecting necessary documentation, verifying insurance/funding.

Administrative Oversight: Maintain meticulous and confidential records of all inquiries, applications, and admissions data using our database system. Generate regular reports on intake activity and occupancy status.

Referral Relations: Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with treatment centers, hospitals, correctional facilities, and community partners to ensure a steady referral pipeline.

Coordination & Onboarding: Collaborate closely with Senior Management and House Managers to ensure a smooth transition for new residents, coordinating move-in dates, room assignments, and initial orientation schedules.

Communication: Clearly communicate program guidelines, financial requirements, and expectations to applicants and their families/support systems.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in admissions, intake, or case management, preferably within a substance abuse treatment, behavioral health, or sober living environment.

Empathy and Professionalism: Exceptional ability to engage with individuals in crisis with genuine compassion, non-judgment, and strict adherence to confidentiality an

Knowledge: Familiarity with the recovery community, the continuum of care (detox, residential, sober living), and basic insurance/funding verification processes.

Computer Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience using database or electronic health record (EHR) systems.


Able to work with minimal supervision and fufillorganizations capacity requirement's.
