**Intake Services Coordinator**

**Location**: Métis Nation of Alberta Provincial Head Office, Edmonton AB

**Position Status**: Full Time (40 hrs per week), Permanent

**The Organization**

**The Opportunity**

The Provincial Office of the Métis Nation of Alberta is recruiting for an Intake Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Registry Operations Supervisor, this role will focus on the organization and facilitation of Registry sessions for the MNA’s Registry Department.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing internal & external stakeholders to support registration sessions throughout Alberta
- Develop an annual workplan to meet registration goals.
- Book travel arrangements.
- Facilitate presentations and information sessions for the MNA’s Registry Department.
- Provide support for all other registration duties as assigned.

**Skills & Competencies**

This position requires a proven level of initiative and judgment in order to organize and prioritize daily tasks and long-term objectives. Tact, diplomacy, and a commitment to teamwork are required in dealing with colleagues in an everyday working environment. Other necessary competencies include:

- Knowledge of Métis culture and history.
- Advanced organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to produce professional documents, reports, and presentations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or other applicable software.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information.
- Experience in working with the public and public speaking.
- Ability to obtain Commissioner for Oaths designation.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in any of the following: Business Administration/Commerce, Arts, Management Studies preferred.
- Minimum two years administrative experience.
- Combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered.
- Experience coordinating meetings.

**Other Requirements**
- Position will be based in Edmonton; in-office presence will be required.
- Ability to work office hours of Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
- Able to work evenings and weekends as required for events and Registry sessions.
- Able to travel throughout Alberta (required) for events and to help facilitate Registry sessions.
- Must hold a Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and have reliable transportation.
