**Intake Coordinator**
The Family Resource Network offers a wide range of cultural programming for children and their families, aligning with both the principle-based practices and the Well-being and Resiliency Framework (2019). Bent Arrow’s Centre or Hub will provide prevention and early intervention support to Indigenous families in Alberta—particularly in North/East/Central Edmonton. Although the Centre will have an Indigenous focus, any families can receive service. The Centre will offer home visitation, dad engagement, parent education and support, relentless connectors, and youth support.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide supports and resources to participants
- Set up and do intakes for individuals/families wanting to access services
- Input participants into ETO data base and Colab Database
- Provide interim support and information referrals to participants while awaiting placement
- Coverage for admin to answer and direct telephone calls and taking detailed messages.
- Providing information to the public on the programs & services offered by the HUB
- Filling out intake forms, keeping accurate and detailed information to best support participant.
- Connect to community partners to transfer families to other programming if needed
- Provide information to partnering agencies and community programs.
- Attend staff meetings with the HUB.
- Assess intakes, converse with supervisors, and match new referrals with appropriate programs.
- Answering and directing telephone calls, taking detailed telephone messages when supporting admin.
- Providing information to the public and staff on the programs & services offered by the HUB.
- Typing correspondence and other documents in terms of referrals.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the intake room, ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain excellent communication skills both written and verbal with supervisors, staff, and participants.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
**Qualification Requirements**
- Experience in Counselling, therapy or education in psychology, sociology or equivalent will be considered
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience, human service experience preferred
- The ability to multitask
- Trauma informed practice/training a must
- Excellent collaborative skills; knowledge of Indigenous cultures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector and Intervention Record Check (within a 6-month period from date of completion).
**Salary and Benefits**
