The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Associate to join our growing team. This is a mid-level role perfect for an individual passionate about sales, organized process management, and the dynamic events industry. You will be instrumental in expanding our client base by managing the initial sales pipeline and generating accurate quotes for our small-to-mid-sized exhibit projects.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Development Associate, you will be the first point of contact, demonstrating the value and ease of working with Müller Expo:
- Pipeline Generation: Actively identify, research, and qualify new business leads for smaller booth sizes and standard exhibit projects.
- Client Quoting: Efficiently build accurate price quotes for prospective clients using standardized pricing lists and pre-engineered modules.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary contact during the initial discovery phase, understanding client goals, communicating our capabilities, and navigating the early stages of the sales process.
- CRM Management: Maintain 100% data accuracy by diligently logging all sales activities, pipeline stages, and client interactions within our Pipedrive CRM.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Sales team to transition larger or more complex projects and ensure seamless communication across the organization.
- Market Insight: Stay informed on industry trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activities to continually position Müller Expo as a solution-oriented partner.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Location: Must reside in Calgary, Alberta, and be able to commit to a full-time, in-office position.
- Language: Advanced proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required to manage complex client communications.
- 2+ years of professional experience in sales, business development, or account coordination.
- Proven ability to manage lead generation and initial prospect qualification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using a CRM system (experience with Pipedrive is a significant asset).
- Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous approach to data and cost calculation.
- Strong communication skills, capable of maintaining a professional, friendly, and solution-oriented tone.
- Experience or strong interest in the trade show, events, or exhibit industry is a distinct advantage.

Compensation
