Duties
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards and consistency in every dish served.
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including shift management, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Monitor food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health codes and safety standards.
- Control inventory levels by tracking stock usage, placing orders, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Conduct staff training sessions focused on food service management, customer service excellence, and safety protocols.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Oversee kitchen management tasks such as food production coordination, catering services, banquet operations, and bar management when applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment in line with hospitality standards.
- Assist in budgeting activities, cost control measures, and financial reporting to support business growth.
- Lead efforts in staff development through interviewing candidates, onboarding new hires, and implementing training & development programs.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the food industry or quick service & fast food restaurants with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management—preferably with fine dining or casual dining experience.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and cash handling.
- Demonstrated skills in inventory control, food safety practices, and food handling procedures.
- Experience in managing staff training & development programs along with team management capabilities.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
- Ability to handle shift management effectively while maintaining operational flow during busy periods.
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles including budgeting, food production, catering, bar operations, and hotel experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
- Effective communication skills for interviewing candidates and conducting staff evaluations.
- Culinary experience or barista/coffee experience is desirable but not mandatory; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential.
