The Role and Responsibilities
As a
Business Developer
within the IT vertical, you will be the driving force behind new revenue and client expansion. This is a sales-first, impact-focused role designed for someone who wants to build and scale a portfolio with full support behind them.
You will:
- Prospect, develop, and close new business across the IT staffing sector.
- Reopen lapsed accounts and strengthen existing relationships within the firm's network.
- Lead the full sales cycle—from first outreach to negotiation and placement closure.
- Work closely with the delivery team, who will manage talent sourcing and candidate preparation.
- Build strategic client partnerships, positioning yourself as a consultative advisor rather than a transactional vendor.
- Develop a niche or run a broad IT portfolio, depending on your strengths and market insights.
- Grow into leadership, owning a pod or team as your personal book scales.
This role is built for a strong seller who wants both revenue ownership and long-term opportunity.
Skills and Qualifications Needed to Be Successful
- 3+ years of IT staffing sales or 360 recruitment experience.
- Strong hunter mentality—comfortable opening new doors and building from scratch.
- Proven ability to manage high-value client relationships and deliver consultative solutions.
- Confident communicator who can build trust and credibility quickly.
- Motivated, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment.
- A niche, network, or recognizable book of business is an asset, but not required.
