Join our team Locher Evers International ("LEI"), an EFL Group Company, industry leading and highly regarded freight forwarder, is growing rapidly LEI has an immediate opening in our Delta Office in British Columbia for a full time Customer Solutions Specialist, Ocean Export.

We are seeking a new team member that enjoys a fast-paced environment and is reliable, pro-active, that also has excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Duties include: Receiving orders from clients, arranging ocean freight bookings, completing trucking arrangements, documentation, billing, tracing, some quoting, general customer service.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Experience working (or education) in freight forwarding and/or ocean carrier sector preferred
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills are required on a daily basis
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Cargowise an asset, but not a requirement
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A high level of mental alertness and urgency is required
  • Ability to build relationships in person, via phone and by e-mail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Resourceful and able to multi-task and respond to a dynamic work environment
