About Stratus Ottawa

Stratus Building Solutions of Ottawa is Canada's fastest-growing region within the Stratus network — a nationally recognized leader in green commercial cleaning and facility services.

We're built on a simple but powerful mission: to create entrepreneurial opportunities for local business owners while delivering high-quality cleaning services that clients can trust.

Our franchise network represents over 80 local entrepreneurs who operate under the Stratus brand, servicing offices, retail stores, medical clinics, and corporate facilities across the National Capital Region.

At Stratus Ottawa, we take pride in being a people-first organization — our success is defined by the success of our franchisees. Every role in our office is designed to serve, elevate, and hold accountable the business owners who carry our brand forward.

Position Overview

The Franchisee Success Coordinator plays a central role in developing our franchisees — guiding them through onboarding, coaching them through growth, and ensuring they operate to Stratus standards.

This position blends training, operations, coaching, and accountability. You'll work closely with small business owners — some of whom are building their first company in Canada — helping them strengthen their mindset, decision-making, and business practices.

This is not a back-office administrative role. It's a people-facing leadership support position that requires empathy, firmness, and influence. The ideal candidate is loyal to the vision, takes ownership of outcomes, and thrives on helping others rise.

Core ResponsibilitiesFranchisee Sales & Onboarding

  • Conduct and document Discovery, Q&A, and Signing meetings with new franchise candidates.
  • Prepare and track FDD deliveries and acknowledgements.
  • Guide new franchisees through incorporation, CRA registration, WSIB, insurance, banking, and starter kit setup.
  • Coordinate all 7 training and certification phases and ensure completion sign-offs.
  • Collaborate with Brand Compliance Managers (BCMs) on operational readiness and training follow-ups.

Franchisee Development & Accountability

  • Conduct and document Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with all franchisees.
  • Track supply purchases, training completions, and compliance records.
  • Support BCMs on inspections, coaching sessions, and compliance actions.
  • Identify and segment franchisees based on performance, engagement, and growth stage.
  • Coach franchisees to think strategically — shifting from "cleaner" mindset to "business owner" mindset.

Training, Communication & Reporting

  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly franchisee training sessions and track attendance.
  • Compile reports on franchisee performance, training progress, and development trends.
  • Provide regular feedback and documentation for leadership and operations teams.
  • Maintain open communication with franchisees, BCMs, and office staff to ensure alignment and accountability.

Quarterly Bonus Structure

  • 2 new franchisees signed per month (6 per quarter).
  • 100% QBR completion across all active franchisees.
  • 6 new Google reviews per quarter (franchisee or customer generated).
  • All monthly and quarterly training sessions successfully executed and completed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business operations, coaching, training, or franchise coordination.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to work effectively across cultures and language barriers.
  • Strong sense of leadership, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Confident managing challenging conversations with tact, empathy, and firmness.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Sheets, Docs, Slides).

  • A natural perspective-controller who can respectfully guide others and reset limiting beliefs.
  • Skilled communicator with charm, firmness, and emotional intelligence.
  • Values loyalty, long-term vision, and consistent follow-through.
  • Comfortable influencing, mentoring, and holding others accountable.
  • Thrives in a high-performance environment focused on results and growth.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $60,000/yr
