Lionheart Foundation (Lionheart) facilitates comprehensive access to best-in-class mental health supports for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families experiencing anxiety-based mental health challenges. We do this through building awareness, education, and therapeutic capacity to address anxiety-based mental health needs in our community.

Opportunity:

Lionheart Foundation is seeking a full-time Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator, based in Edmonton AB, to develop a community engagement strategy and implement community outreach activities on behalf of the organization in Edmonton and surrounding communities. As a new organization operating in Edmonton, the Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator is a key member of the Edmonton program team. They will identify key stakeholders, networks, funders, and potential partners, and develop tailored strategies for engagement with each audience.

Job Profile:

The Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator will employ a community development approach to increased awareness of Lionheart's Youth Mental Health Counselling Program in Edmonton. They will identify and champion key partnerships and service networks in efforts to increase accessibility of the program within the community. They will serve as an organizational ambassador who is able to thrive in an emerging program. They are a servant leader with a flexible approach, committed to ongoing learning. This position will work closely with the Clinical Services Manager and the Executive Director to identify and meet key performance targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or related field of study

A minimum of 3 years working with vulnerable populations, preferably youth, from a trauma-informed approach

An understanding of the clinical presentation of adolescents with anxiety-related disorders

A strong knowledge of the local mental health landscape, supports, and trends

A background in grassroots community development, network building, and partnership development

Excellent administrative and organization skills

Excellent client-centered customer service from a compassionate, culturally sensitive/competent approach

Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Able to represent Lionheart's mission, vision and values to the community

Able to work collaboratively in a hybrid/remote team environment

This position is a flexible full-time position with benefits and paid vacation. The successful candidate will be required to work in a hybrid or in-person work environment, and submit a vulnerable persons policy check.
