Our team is looking for a Coordinator, Community Engagement based in Edmonton, Alberta or surrounding area on a full-time basis working 35 hours per week. Please apply by October 28, 2025.

The impact you will have:

The Coordinator, Community Engagement plays a key role in supporting the volunteer life cycle and strengthening connections within the MS Canada community. This role focuses on building and sustaining meaningful volunteer relationships, ensuring a positive experience from recruitment through recognition, and creating opportunities for volunteers to actively contribute to the mission of MS Canada.

Key Areas of Impact:

- Deliver a positive volunteer experience throughout the volunteer life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, stewardship, and recognition, within their region and beyond as required.
- Strengthen engagement by identifying volunteers with leadership potential and connecting them to opportunities across the organization.
- Support local and national community engagement activities, such as community hubs and both in-person and virtual events.
- Collaborate with colleagues within and across -portfolios to identify volunteer needs and contribute to the development and implementation of volunteer strategies that deepen and broaden engagement and collective action.

Requirements

- Is confident, energetic and results oriented
- Has experience in volunteer engagement and the ability to mobilize volunteers to achieve fundraising event goals
- Has a passion for enhancing the volunteer experience within the non-profit/health charity sector
- Is highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Is excellent at communicating, both verbally and written
- Thrives in working in a fast-paced professional environment with specific targets
- Has a track record of strong customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with a variety of staff, volunteers and community partners
- Cultivates a positive and supportive atmosphere by recognizing volunteer efforts, assisting volunteers with their endeavours and evaluating their experience
- Is self-motivated and a multi-tasker with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Can always maintain confidentiality, with sensitivity to issues of disability and diversity
- Is flexible and can manage a diverse workload
- Has exceptional computer literacy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and is proficient with database software and survey software
