**Job Function Overview**

The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for executing data entry and related duties in disbursing non-payroll accounts payable to individuals, suppliers, and various businesses.

**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Financial Expectations**
- Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners.
- Balance day-to-day accounts payable batches; prepare and distribute payment reports.
- Perform general administrative duties for the Finance Department, such as: file management, data entry, records maintenance, etc.
- Perform 3 way matching, pull out back up s and other information for payment processing.
- Review bills to the organization for possible mistakes and/or discrepancies; analyze and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions
- Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records concerning the organization and its industry partners.
- Perform other duties, as required.

**Job Requirements**
- Significant knowledge of payment rules and regulations and can perform account reconciliations.
- High level of professionalism with the ability to handle and manage confidential information on a day-to-day basis.
- Excellent communication: written and verbal skills.
- Detailed Orientated.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience in Epicor is an added advantage.
