**Job Type**: Full-Time, Contract (10 Weeks)
**Schedule**: Monday to Friday; 9 AM - 5 PM (37.5 hours per week)
**Tentative Start Date**:June 2, 2025

**About Friends of Ruby**
Friends of Ruby is dedicated to supporting the well-being of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth aged 16-29 through mental health services, social programs, and housing. We operate a Youth Drop-In Centre, offering barrier-free counselling, hot meals, and community programming, and a Transitional Home, providing emergency and long-term housing with life-skills support.

**Canada Summer Jobs Funding Eligibility**
Please note that this position will be funded by the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program and is open to applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be between the ages of 15 and 30 at the start of employment.
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee status in Canada.
- Must legally be able to work in Canada according to relevant provincial/territorial laws.
- International students and temporary foreign workers are not eligible for this position.
**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Assist in the recruitment process (job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews).
- Support new hire onboarding and orientation sessions.
- Help develop and update HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Maintain HR records and support administrative tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HR team.
**What You Bring**
- Experience or background in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and rapport building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Prior HR or administrative experience is an asset but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
