We are looking for someone that is truly passionate about Human Resources, understanding their customer and consistently exceeding their expectations by delivering the best possible HR delivery.

The Human Resources Intern will have a focus on supporting the Talent Acquisition team with hiring activities and events. In addition, the Human Resources Intern will be supporting other HR teams with various projects and administrative responsibilities.

Work Term - this is an 8-12 months internship

Key Accountabilities:

- Build relationships with educational institutions, and contribute to the company’s employer branding efforts
- Attend college career fairs, interact with students and promote our employer brand
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews and perform skills assessment for junior positions and internships
- Host in-house career days for students and recent graduates by department or field of expertise
- Liaise with hiring managers to define hiring needs and design internship and new graduate programs
- Personally own the full Talent Acquisition lifecycle for assigned roles, from requirements definition, sourcing, selection through to onboarding
- Participate in updating and maintaining job descriptions: collect manager input, review and edit, validate and post job descriptions to a central repository
- Compile HR data and metrics from the human resource information system (HRIS)
- Support recruiting processes with data and statistics for trends and patterns
- Support HR department with special projects, annual activities, mass communications, and other duties as needed and assigned.
- Assist with other HR initiatives as required

Key Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in school and working towards a Bachelor’s degree and/or a post-graduate diploma in HR
- Knowledge of the hiring process and best practices
- Knowledge in HR policies and procedures
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in software like MS Office and Sharepoint
- Ability to work well and collaborate in team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Workday HRIS or similar
- Experience with intern/student hiring
- Experience with Excel and advanced functions
