Position Overview:

Avolta is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 
Human Resources Student Intern
 to join our team as part of a co-op program. This internship is designed for students who are passionate about HR and organizational development and are looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. As an intern, you will work closely with our HR team to support talent acquisition, employee engagement, and HR operations. Please note that this is a 
pro bono
 opportunity, ideal for students seeking to gain valuable experience and co-op credit while contributing to impactful work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in talent acquisition efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  • Help organize and promote employee engagement initiatives and events.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Contribute to the documentation and presentation of HR metrics and reports.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all tasks and interactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of responsibility, maturity, and a willingness to learn.
  • Must be eligible to receive co-op credit through your academic institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
  • Interest in the technology, security, or automotive industries.
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
