We are looking for an experienced manager, as we are hiring more staff members, more artists, and looking into expanding our space, among other things. We need a manager who understands our vision and ambitions, who can keep Heartless Ink running like a well-oiled machine, and who wants a long-term role as part of an growing business.
Your job will be to manage a team of staff to ensure that our clients receive an elevated experience that distinguishes us from what the public usually associates with a tattoo studio. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organization skills are essential, as there are many moving parts to this business, and we are only going to keep expanding. You will learn, oversee, and develop the systems that this business requires while supervising and coordinating all staff members, and overseeing the quality of client experience and the day-to-day procedures of the boutique. As we expand you will be responsible for adding, expanding, and implementing these systems. This position has a lot of potential for growth.
Job duties:
- Contribute to the overall success of the studio through strong leadership skills, business acumen, a passion for service excellence and a commitment to creating an exceptional client experience
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the daily operations of the studio in terms of efficiency and client experience
- Have a good understanding of tattoos and an eye for quality; knowledge of tattooing equipment and supplies would be an asset
- Coordinate multiple staff members including content producers and our marketing director
- Establish and implement strict policies and procedures for the staff and artists and enforce compliance
- Managing inventory and bookkeeping
- Be committed to lead by example and build an energized team of service-oriented professionals by hiring, training and motivating staff
- Develop our client relations protocol to ensure that we are providing an elevated experience for our clients
- Maintain awareness of what is happening in the studio at all times
- Oversee strict health and safety requirements
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience managing a tattoo studio, spa, or in the hospitality industry
- Fluency in English with strong verbal communications skills
- Excellent presentation
- Courteous and professional demeanour

The position is full-time (40hrs/week).
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: $48,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
