Marketing Coordinator

ABC Recycling Ltd. is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to be based out of our head office in Burnaby, B.C. Reporting to the Manager, Community Relations, the job holder will be responsible for driving marketing & communication strategies, while reviewing, building, and leading the implementation of an updated and refreshed strategy, including the establishment and execution of objectives and initiatives to support overall company growth. This includes the strategic identification, development, and evaluation of marketing strategies for brand awareness, brand stewardship and promotional support for the products and services offered by ABC Recycling.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develops and implements the brand, communication, and marketing strategy.
- Implements the marketing strategy - including campaigns, website management, events, recruiting, digital marketing and public relations.
- Manages social media accounts and presence, and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
- Ensures the marketing objectives are implemented in a timely and professional standard, utilizing best-practices.
- Uses research information and available data to capitalize the growth opportunities and track the performance of the market, our company, and competition.
- Works closely with the management team to define marketing materials and programs required for upcoming corporate initiatives and to successfully promote & support organizational goals.
- Develops an integrated communications strategy that incorporates PR, Marketing and Online channels.
- Develops strategies to encourage new or increased contributions for ABC’s fundraising and social responsibility efforts.
- Designs or produce materials such as posters, websites, or newsletters to promote, market, or advertise ABC’s community initiatives and other events.
- Undertakes continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends to ensure ABC’s Marketing & Communications are aligned to ensure we’re ahead of the curve moving into the future.
- Implements communications plans to increase brand awareness and recognition for the organization.
- Monitors press stories relating to ABC and its brands and maximizing opportunities for positive PR.
- Develops and lead ABC’s internal communication strategy.
- Works closely with HR to communicate & champion our brand to internal staff and relevant stakeholders.
- Leads development of new website with 3rd party vendors.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Communications, business administration, or equivalent on the job knowledge blended with formal education.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Marketing & Communications role, preferably with experience building a marketing strategy ground up.
- Excellent analytical and project management skills.
- Very creative with a passion for design.
- Video/photography production and editing experience.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and proactive mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and graphic with excellent grammar/proofreading ability.
