Salary: $68,000 to $78,000 per year

XI Technologies, a privately owned energy technology firm local to Calgary, is looking for a dynamic individual looking to grow their career in marketing. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for execution of all marketing strategies, marketing lead management, core messages and content development, campaigns and corporate/marketing events to promote our products across all product suites. You will report to our VP Operations and work closely with our Strategic Advisor Marketing & Sales.

- You are excited to dig in and execute corporate marketing and positioning strategies, product marketing strategies and social media campaign strategies.
- You work closely with our Strategic Advisor Marketing & Sales and Customer Experience team to brainstorm on innovative marketing strategies to achieve goals.
- Your exceptional communication skills will help drive content marketing initiatives to achieve business targets.
- You can deliver engaging content on multiple platforms on a regular basis, proactively sharing content through various channels, all driving toward XI's strong web presence.
- You love to research and keep abreast of political, economic, and local industry market conditions, as well as competitive intelligence.
- You take pride in being detail-oriented, organized, and appreciate the importance of tracking every touch point within our customer records.
- You are prepared to figure out buying patterns of customers and are driven to receive customer feedback and generate ideas to increase customer engagement.
- You have a desire to learn about our products to research potential topics and develop future marketing content.
- You are focused on marketing efforts for increased lead generation and lead management.
- You're not afraid to do whatever it takes to advance a lead to the point of sales hand-off through a dedicated rhythm of research, creative outreach, communication and follow up.
- You understand that in a small company, you must be self reliant and look for opportunities to make an impact. Growth is what you make of this role.

Skills Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as be a strong team member
- Experience and understanding of the correlation between marketing efforts and sales operations
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of event planning
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of content marketing, SEO, and digital advertising
- Good working knowledge of social platforms and online mediums; staying current on platform changes and new technical innovations
- Excellence in writing, editing, and proofreading
- Project management experience and attention to detail
- Budget management
- Understanding of the energy industry an asset

Experience
- Five plus years of professional experience (or equivalent) in a marketing role
- Demonstrated portfolio of learning and accomplishments
- Any work experience within energy industry an asset

Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field required.
