We are seeking an experienced baker with Business-to-Business sales experience, who would love to share their baking knowledge with other bakers and Research & Development teams at major manufacturers, commissary kitchens, coffee chains and distributors across the Lower Mainland. BakeMark Key Account Managers don't just sell: they consult and partner to help grow their customers' business through innovation and expertise:
- Care about the customer’s interests from a Baker's perspective. Knowledge is key
- Confidence talking about your baking experience: able to help, a good listener, finding out customer needs and proposing solutions,
- Multi-taskers, just like in baking industry: providing insight on what the baker is looking for, persistent in always following up; honest in every way even if you don’t have all the answers
- Focused to make sure you understand what industrial bakeries and chains are looking for in their finished products
- Last but not least optimistic, upbeat with a broad worldview and cultural understanding of the Baking Industry and the marketplace.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES**
- Know and call on customer prospects across the Lower Mainland. Key Account Managers travel every day locally visiting clients and calling on prospects.
- Grow to understand BakeMark products and make insightful recommendations to major customers
- Use effective and professional sales tools
- Improve sales and profitability
- Keep collections and payments current for accounts
- Execute sales and marketing plans, working through appropriate personnel.
- Attend and participate in periodic sales meetings in Richmond & California
**CREATING/PLANNING**
- Analyzes and defines the market for product growth within current and potential/prospective markets.
- Works with management to establish sales goals to ensure share of market and profitability of the company’s manufactured and resale products.
- Develops and recommends product offering and pricing strategy for the territory that will result in optimal profitability and market share in the company’s product lines.
- Assists management in the development of sales plans and programs to ensure profit growth and expansion of products.
**Salary**: $78,000.00-$90,000.00 per year _including vehicle allowance_, with all fuel costs covered in addition.
**Responsibilities**:
**Sales Management**
- Works in conjunction with other members of the BakeMark team to develop the Division’s Business Plan.
- Identifies target customers.
- Builds relationships with prospects, their Research & Development teams, and industry groups.
- Executes on sales and marketing plans.
**Planning and Organizing**
- Analyzes and defines the market for product growth within current and potential markets
- Establish sales goals to ensure share of market and profitability of the company’s manufactured and resale products.
**Customer Focus**
- Presents products to the customer employing professional business plans.
- Responsible for inventory forecasts, sales administration of new items, resolving customer supply emergencies, addressing payment issues and other everyday customer needs.
- Follows up on customer requests and questions.
