Group, Dowler-Karn distributes energy products (propane, Esso fuels & MOBIL lubricants) to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of customers, including residential, agriculture and commercial.

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
We are currently looking for an experienced **Office and Administrative Support **person to join our team in our **St. Thomas** operation. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service, building quality relationships with customers.
- Answering and managing all incoming calls on a busy phone system.
- Greeting customers and discussing the services required or providing information regarding the benefits of our services.
- Ensuring all customer enquiries are addressed and handled professionally and diplomatically, leaving the customer with a positive resolution.
- Collaborating with customers and other departments / branches to ensure full customer satisfaction with the company's products and services.
- Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge, including propane, fuel and lubricant operations.
- Accepting and processing customer payments; provide information about electronic payment options.
- Processing payables through third-party payment systems.
- Assisting in pricing activities related to current customer accounts.
- Maintaining professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner. Adapt communication style in order to deliver information effectively to a range of individuals.
- Perform other administrative assigned tasks and duties necessary to support branch operations.
- Provide coverage for other employees on vacation or other leaves of absence.
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Minimum of a grade 12 diploma, although post-secondary or administrative experience would be considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, administrative and customer service skills along with as a front
- line customer service person.
- Above average comfort level with computers, including MS Office functions.
- Excellent listening skills; able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
- Personable and confident individual with strong quantitative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
- Ability to quickly pick up product and service knowledge and communicate effectively to customers.
- Ability to work well individually or as part of a team.
- ** Must be able to participate in a Saturday morning shift on a rotating basis **_
