**Position for Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Specialist**
As an AR/AP Specialist and member of our Finance and Accounting team, you will be responsible for many of the day-to-day accounting operations.
This is a hands-on role that will include day to day processing as well as working cross functionally with other departments to provide accurate and insightful account reporting and analysis.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
**Accounts Receivable**
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, tracking and collections follow up
- Monitor and record receipts, ensure any issues are escalated to permit quick resolution
- Generate monthly aging reports and manage distribution
- Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliation
**Accounts Payable**
- Process and manage full cycle accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments
- Review purchase documentation for completeness and compliance and approval processes and post in accounting system
- Monitor account statements and liaise with business units and vendors to address inquires and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare monthly accruals and other journal entries and perform regular account reconciliations for AP and other applicable accounts
- Intercompany transactions management and reconciliation.
- Generate monthly aging reports and manage distribution
- Support Controller with special projects
**What You’ll Need to Succeed**:
- Accounting degree/diploma is required
- 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience or equivalent is required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience in database management is an asset.
- Collaborative, approachable, team player who works well with all levels of the organization.
- High attention to detail, critical thinking, ability to meet timeliness and work well under pressure.
- Ability to gather data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and propose solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with ERP systems and business intelligence software; experience with cloud-based accounting systems is an asset
**What We Provide**:
- Competitive salary range - $55,000 - $65,000
