Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) SpecialistClairvest is a highly reputable mid-market Private Equity firm with >$4Bn of assets and ~50 employees. We are seeking a Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Team. The Finance department is a combination of a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and collaborative environment. This individual will work closely with all members of the Finance Team, specifically our Senior Corporate Accountant and Director of Finance.Key ResponsibilitiesThe individual will be responsible for the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as well as reconciling various bank and investment accounts on a monthly basis.Accounts PayableProcess invoices and employee expense reportsEnsure timely and accurate payments via EFT, wire, or cheque.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.Accounts ReceivableGenerate and issue invoices to portfolio companies and third parties.Prepare invoices to portfolio companies for advisory fees and expense recoveriesMonitor receivables aging and follow up on overdue accounts.Apply incoming payments and reconcile AR ledger.Assist with cash flow forecasting and reporting.General Accounting SupportPrepare monthly bank and investment account reconciliationsMonitor bank account activities and generate daily account reportsOrganize and manage accounting recordsAssist with month-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.Maintain accurate and organized financial records.Support audits and provide documentation as needed.Collaborate with investment and operations teams on ad hoc financial tasks.QualificationsPost-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ years of experience in a full-cycle AP/AR roleMultitasker with ability to meet timelinesStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organization skills and attention to detailTeam-oriented; demonstrates a commitment to shared successAdvanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft ExcelPlease note, our team works in person in the office at Yonge & St. Clair. #J-18808-Ljbffr
